Message from the Dean
Together, we transform community and industry by igniting a movement fueled by visionary workforce training and innovative educational practices.
The College of Health and Human Services is restructuring to better serve Indiana and the Wabash Valley by aligning our programs around workforce‑ready education, interprofessional learning, and measurable community impact. We are bringing nursing, physician assistant studies, public health, social work, kinesiology, rehabilitation, and sport together in a new, integrated model that connects classroom learning to real‑world practice and regional employer needs. On Give to Blue Day, you can accelerate this transformation and help us prepare more students to care for more people, in more communities.
CHHS is building an ACTIVE culture: Accountable, Collaborative, Transparent, Innovative, Visionary, and Empathetic. Through new cross‑cutting Networks—Community & Behavioral Health, Sport Performance & Wellness, Core Curricula & IPE, and ACTIVE Culture & Care—we are breaking down silos so faculty, students, staff, and clinical partners can work together on the issues that matter most for our region.
Your gift to the College of Health and Human Services fuels community‑rooted care, cutting‑edge practice, and life‑changing opportunities for Sycamore students—from first simulation to first job and beyond.
Sincerely,
Matthew P. Ford
